Same here. While DOAX is the Xbox game I've spent the most time with by far, I grew tired of Rumble Roses pretty darned quickly. Between DOAX and Smackdown vs Raw, I had a hard time finding reasons to play RR, I guess.

well, all i can say is that there's only a few things this title really needs to become a solid series; one of them being a CAW mode(as i stated before, i'd forgo any new characters if they gave us a compitent CAW mode). The others would be a more in depth story mode, varied moves between characters(im sick of seeing characters share a TON of moves), and more match types(extra things to do in matches wouldnt hurt either).

other noteable requests from forums would be a street fight mode that can ONLY end in a KO(finally giving a reason to use a weapon besides whoring out an easy win against the cpu), team moves(and specific team moves between characters that are story related; such as Dixie/Reiko), and the deletion of the mud match mode for a more refined match type(that still gives us a reason to keep bikinis) that doesnt feel tacked on as a gimmick.

perhaps unlockables such as outfits(as in XBV) or new moves(if they include the CAW mode) could lengthen the experience. if they could somehow find a way to integrate them into the 1player story mode(money system?) then it'd add a whole fuckton of depth.

...but then again; they(the developers) probably just read all the japanese fanpages(who just want more girls) instead of viewing american/european forums where people actually ask for a more indepth title. :bigtran:

because if done correctly(with the proper engine), caws can look as good as an in game model(the main perpetrator against a good caw engine is the smackdown series). i'd rather have the ability to create a character i like than to have one already available that i cant stand. not to mention that i would also be able to tweak out the stats, look, moveset, etc(which is something wrestling fans have been used to having for almost over a decade now)

seconldy, you have to remember where im coming from on this. i'm looking at what would make this game an actual GOOD wrestling title, and not what could give me a boner(ie; so anything that can possibly add longevity to the title would be a bonus, as i BLEW through RR1 in a matter of days due to it's horribly limited single player experience)

I'll jump on the no CAW bandwagon, provided they flesh out the characters more, particularly the alt versions (if they're going to do the face/heel characters idea again). I stopped playing any of the alternate alignment characters once I saw that aside from the intros, they really didn't have any story at all.

HOWEVER, Rumble Roses is one series that doesn't NEED it. Virtua Fighter? Yes. Rumble Roses? Not really. It would be NICE, I wouldn't complain, but Rumble Roses's emphasis on story and really realy well modeled characters takes away the "need" for it.

caw mode has been an integral part of wrestling titles for almost over a decade now, not having is just a slap to the face of the fanbase(and it will detract a fuckton of depth from the title as we KNOW the story mode in this is about as basic as it's gonna get). even that god awful backyard wrestling title had a (horrible) caw mode.

if they gave you(ala defjam) a set of voices to choose and a stock "linear with branching paths via your choices" story mode to go through it'd work fine. give the user the ability to adjust stats, face/heel status, pick their own moves, etc(and with polygon magic behind the helm on a next gen system; i'm pretty god damn sure the caws would look just as nice as an in game character).

I think it Rumble Roses needs more modes and to refine their wrestling system before adding a CAW. Seriously, there are so many variations of wrestling matches that need to added. Heck they modify the "I quit" match to have the loser open her mouth and swallowing the whip cream from a can instead of the old handing the mic over. Konami's all-gal grappling game on the Xbox 360 will feature tag-team battles, online play, and customizable wrestlers.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Rumble Roses XX producer Akari Uchida spoke about his upcoming Xbox 360 game, the sequel to 2004's Rumble Roses for the PlayStation 2. Rumble Roses XX was first unveiled at Microsoft's Xbox Summit 2005, which took place in Tokyo this past Monday.

The biggest gameplay change in Rumble Roses XX is the implementation of tag-team battles for some girls-on-girls action. Players will be able to pick a pair of their favorite females and then brawl in battles between teams of two. To give more personality to the tag-team system, the developer of Rumble Roses XX plans to include a "relationship system" in the game. In the chaos that explodes in the ring, an errant slap or chop can sometimes find its way to a teammate. If the team's relationship is strong, one or two mistakes won't be much of a problem. But if the bond isn't tight, a single mistake can lead to the team's breakup.

Rumble Roses will also feature some significant changes with regard to its characters. Uchida says none of the existing characters will be replaced, and he recommends that fans of the series check out the changes to the known roster before inquiring about new characters. The developer is thinking of making each wrestler specialized in a specific fighting style, such as a throw-based fighter or a full-contact fighter. Using the judo specialist Makoto as an example, Uchida revealed that she will be redesigned to fight more specifically in her martial art, thereby using more grapples and fewer punches and kicks.

Uchida assures players that the specialized fighting styles for the characters won't mean that Rumble Roses XX's controls will be complicated. The developer is designing the game so that players can easily play with any of the fighting femmes. To make the action more heated for casual gamers, team attacks and special moves will be executed with just the press of a single button.

Rumble Roses XX will feature more variation in its arenas, something the original PS2 installment lacked. Uchida said that most of the fighting rings in the original Rumble Roses looked pretty much identical to one another, since they were run-of-the-mill wrestling rings. In Rumble Roses XX, players will be able to fight in outdoor stages, such as in a desert or in a pool.

"The previous game featured mud wrestling matches, but this time, we're thinking about a different kind of fun that will be pretty stunning. ... We're focusing more on the volume and play value rather than character storylines," said Uchida, who added that the game will feature many elements that couldn't be included in the previous installment. However, Rumble Roses XX will not feature the continuation of the PS2's storyline, branching off instead to offer an original plot.

When asked how Rumble Roses XX will take advantage of Xbox Live, Uchida confirmed that the game will feature online play, revealing that users will no longer have to bring their friends over to play multiplayer matches. Uchida also revealed that the game should include a feature where players can create their original pro-wrestling organizations with other online users, as well as an extensive customization system that lets players change more than just the costumes and accessories for their wrestlers (Think 1980s movie Weird Science). "Users will be able to customize [their characters] beyond imagination. This is especially the part that we've put a lot of effort in, so please look forward to it," commented Uchida.

According to Famitsu, Rumble Roses XX is currently 27 percent complete. No release date has been announced for the game yet

I don't understand why people played RR1 for the story...*I* played it for entirely different reasons. I also skipped most of the story sequences anyway, except when I felt like ogling the girls as the camera angles were usually fairly generous.

Hah...for easy wins, the running knee was usually really good, or the knee kick move, depending on the character. You can finish most matches in under a minute against the computer.

Finally, I'm one step closer to having my dreammatch of a Chun-li vs Reiko vs Psylocke vs Tina match. Actually, I have plenty more dream matches than that, but, that will do for now.

RR could live without a CAW. There's enough variety in the characters that a CAW isn't mandatory.
Technique editing however, something immensely simpler to implement, that's a must. As was said, there's way too many basic moves in common.
Also, and having watched Mr. Whitefolks' RR vid again not long ago, can a brother please get some fucking decent camera angles on techniques!? The original RR trailer made Reiko's double moonsault Lethal finisher cool to an unreal degree. In game it's incredibly unimpressive for a technique well outside the known human range of possibility!

I'm probably gonna get beaten up by some dickgirls for saying this, but I don't really WANT a CAW. I've been playing crappy WWF/WWE titles for years now and honestly, CAW didn't really add anything spectacular to any of them. Not only that, but they weren't really implimented that well; so, if they actually do put a CAW, it would have to be fully integrated into the game, not some half-assed add-on like other wrestling games.
That being said, I'd rather have an option to change the standard wrestlers' outfits. For instance, adding pieces of clothing, removing a few, and maybe some more alternate outfits...

Now let me say that I normally HATE cheerleaders as well. I seriously tried to resist Becky and I can't stand her stereotypical personality. I MUCH MUCH MUCH prefer Candy's personality.

However, Becky LOOKS better...and this is coming from a fellow red head feitshest too! First of all the slight hairstyle difference is great. It shows her forhead a bit more and I somehow find that adorable ^_^

Next is the abs and tan. I swear Becky is SLIGHTLY more toned than Candy. Being a cheerleader probably gave her a workout or something. Maybe it just ties in with the slight tan that looks ABSOLUTELY FAPTASTIC on her! It really does help define her muscles a bit more and goes splendidly with the blonde hair.

Lastly is the clothes. Becky's cheerleader uniform is very bust enhancing. I always found Candy to look decidedly flatter than Becky to such a degree that I actually tried to compare, seeing if she got a boob job when she became a cheerleader (logical I think). Nope. Her top is just very very "enhancing" and it looks great!

Then there's the swimsuit. Though Candy's swimsuit is great design-wise, she doesn't wear it well. It just doesn't work for her.

Becky's swimsuit is my all time favorite though ^_^ Short shorts for the win :D

Also note: Miss Spencer's suit also has short shorts over it, making them adorably match ^_^
