I've seen a fair few 'character rosters' for 2K2 before, so have become kind of skeptical, however I will say I hope that one is true, as I'm liking it lots.

Plenty of classic characters (Geese!), plus the best of the new bunch - Angel, Seth, Vanessa - and no fucking Lin.

I won't exactly be mourning for May Lee, Bao or Hinako either.

It's cool having Leona as a single character, that goes well with her personality.

I like this lineup too. No Rugal, unfortunately, but I guess I can swap in the awesome Geese in for my boss fetish. Geese is likely to be a much better character as well. Eiji would probably be really cool too (never played him in 95, but that's because I barely played 95)

No Bao, Lin or Hinako? Yamazaki and Billy are back? Sweet. Too bad Maxima, Ramon and K9996241854 are still there, but oh well. I know Racewing will be weeping for the loss of May Lee, but he'll get no pity from me. That boy has problems. :wink I'll miss Xiang-fei, but admittedly she kinda sucked. And I'm estatic that there's no Kasumi. May she rot in hell. Her dad is now officially cooler than her.

ANyway, I'm hoping this is the real line-up. I have my doubts though.

Also, anyone who thinks Heavy D is an out of shape, overweight washed up Mr T lookalike, it's cool that you think that way, but it's funny that you missed out on the character with one of the most inovative playstyles in the game.

I loved his shadow combination, which allowed him to have Super-versions of all of his normal attacks. It fucking owned, I would at least have liked to see a character with an equivalent of that.


I'm glad Vice is back though, anyone who's seen me play her knows that she is way over the top in terms of making the game not-fun for her opponents :B Hope they didn't change her :D

Yes, but surely THEY (ugh) could have thought of something closer to the whole NESTS chapter? A toned down Krizalid, Zero, Ignis team would have been nice (think kof 96 Geese, Kraus, Big), and that mysterious lady and Long as final bosses. I love Billy and Yamazaki and the whole new face team, but what are they doing in the game when Jhun, Bao, Foxy etc. have about 20.000 more reasons to be there in the first place?

I'm very happy with the in-game artwork, it's a huge improvement from the 2k1 stuff. The normal artwork is better too, although I still think that most of the guys are posed like fags or have some parts of the body hugely deformed.
The BG's seem better too, although still very flat and one-dimensional; people are still fighting on floors as wide as a red carpet :p

Also: Holland BG. Windmills, tullips, sheep and a GIANT FUCKING CLOG!!!! :|

While Gunsmith and KMegura are two big contributors to King of Fighters on the internet, it's absolutely pointless to bother with a 2K2 FAQ now.

Well, if all goes well, we'll be looking at a KoF 2001 scenario where it was dumped and released on the net right after it was released on home console (MVS).

If all goes gay, we'll be looking at a RotD scenario where it was dumped right after it was released on home console (MVS), but is being hoarded by gay singaporean dumpers and hasn't been released yet.

You can bet that if the same group who dumped KoF 2000 (Neo-0), dumps KoF 2002, it'll be released immediately, but they take a while longer than the Asian dumpers.
