[Notes: Japanese Version on Emulator... not sure if the game is coming to the US. There's also a 3D Gamecube version.]

"Haru and friends go on a trip round the world to break Demon Card. We call his weapon RAVE."

I had a feeling you'd say "What?"...

This little known fighter was recently released by Konami in Japan... Don't confuse it with Flame of Recca however, this is a totally different fighter with a different engine...

Since the game's in Japanese, I can't really discuss the plot...

There's 8 characters at the start, and 4 unlockable...
Some unique characters are in the game...
~Haru, who has Cloud's giant ass sword and white hair...
~Musica, the punkish type guy...
~Elie, a girl who kind of looks like Yuna (to me anyways...)
~Griff and Plue, a blue blob with a white snowman head... They fight together. =P
~Shuda, the red haired guy...
~Sieg Hart, the blue haired guy...
~Let, a weird guy... Lizard, dog, whatever.
~Reina, the girl who has green hair and moves reminiscent of Morrigan (to me anyways...)
~4 other secret characters... Haven't unlocked them yet...
I assume Go and Rosa (who are in the GC version) are two of the chars, and I think the bosses are the other 2...
And the bosses:
~King, a weird guy who reminds me of Simon Belmont, and...
~Wolfman! (not his real name, but you get the idea.)

Gameplay?

It's pretty good...
Think GGX but better...
with multi-tiered fields

A: Jump
B: Weak Attack
L: Nothing
R: Strong Attack
Start actually does something... when your bar is flashing, press it, and tap buttons fast... if you win the button war, you win the match...

If you get hit, you might lose your item... The item allows you to attack, and until you get it back, the computer can just pound on you if it wishes...

If you have a real GBA and this game, Multiplayer seems good, but since I'm on emu, I can't test it... =(

I'm just going to end the review here... If you have any more questions, either ask, or get the ROM and play it. (P.S: ROM is at EmuChina™)

Platform: Game Boy Advance

Developer: Konami Computer Entertainment Japan

Publisher: Konami

Graphics 8/10
Pretty good for GBA

Music/Sound 9/10
I'm a sucker for good music, and it seems to be here...

Control 9/10
Control is great...

Gameplay 9/10
Gameplay is just as good.

Wow Factor 7/10
Not much might wow you, besides the secret characters and special moves (start button ones)

Durability 7/10
It should last until you get all the secret characters, unless you have some friends with the game...

The Verdict: 82%

It's no Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revival or Flame of Recca, but it's still pretty damn good.[/COLOR]

This is the one with the really neat Pocket Fighter style graphics right?

To me, it's more like Match of the Millenium (NGPC)...

They're too small to be Pocket Fighter (Capcom) style, IMO.

The 'multi-tiers and button to jump' thing sounds like ADK's awesome(ly bad) "Agressors of Dark Kombat". :|

It's more like a platform than that Gangan game... unless it has platforms too... I didn't really play it (AoDK) much...

Well, it was more a totally non-critical list of features. A good list, mind. :D

Just in case anyone was wondering, this game's acronym is GAR. That's one letter away from GAY.

Why can't there be more usable words starting with "y"?
