And while I love RE1 and am sure to love RE0, 2 is prolly my fav of the series. And the only reason I don't own the DC version is cuz I was gonna wait for the "bargain" GC version. And now, the bargain is $10 less than a new upgrade. Aargh.

I guess Capcom thinks GC owners never heard of Playstation.

Uhh people...I don't know if you noticed but it's not just a 'port'. It's an all out recreation of the game with great graphics and some extras.

Well worth the 40 bucks, considering it's a first time experience for lots of people(like me) and a great replay for others.

No, it's a perfect copy, but nothing has been added. I agree, these are GREAT games, but they're old and very little manpower was needed to bring these to GC, I believe.

Now that I've asserted my opinion, can you tell me if there IS anything new, so I can eat my foot?:supergrin I didn't and haven't seen anything about "new" stuff for the GC releases.

The GC editions are indeed just regular ports, not full-blown remakes.

Sometimes I think Nintendo is trying to loose money. You can by a playstation & RE2 for less than $40, than trade both of them and loose about $20 or less.

come on... i've gotta burn my money on something... why not groovey looking ports of PSX games that i own already?

i've bought RE for the GC, but since i was really really stoned when i finished it on my playstation, it still presents challenges

and RE4 is coming out for the GC - so this is to tide us over until it comes out ^_^
