Jojo's Bizarre Adventure!

Another thread that needs to keep going, if only so the next time my brother clears out the IE history to hide his fervent pr0nning, I'll still have a note of the above URL.

Eps 4-6 still don't work. ;_;

Well they're a hefty 130mb each, but I have the first three episodes, and if any of the distinguised FTP owning chaps here have that kind of space free, then I'll happily upload them.

I got the (working) game today, and it's totally kicking my ass! Fast, intense, flashy yet strategic and never over-the-top (although...)

It looks a bit CPS2-ish, but the BG's are better and some characters have great animation. Yeah I love it. Worth every penny.

Yeah, that's great :D

Btw. the first three OAVs from that site Neil posted are working again. Yay!

I'm also having huge problems with getting the secret characters in JoJo for Dreamcast. I mean, I can beat challenge mode with characters like Jotaru, Dio or Kakyoin but trying it with Joseph, Black Polnareff, Hol Horse or Alessi is like trying to beat Omega Rugal with a rubber chicken. Any tips for a SCRUB! like me? ;)

I played JBA again today, and didn't enjoy it as much as I did last time. It seems so floaty and insubstantial, and the AI is truly, deeply pathetic.

Though when it came to the 'desert' stage, I really liked all the details in the background - like Abdul lying there with his bracelets on the ground in front of him. Good stuff.

I've also started reading the manga from what I assume to be the beginning. It's pretty cool, though the art style is a bit weird at times, and is often hard to see what's actually happening in a frame. :S

And I remember quite liking playing as Hol Horse, just mixing up all his different gunshot moves, setting up high/low traps and so on, and abusing the fuck out of the guidable "stand" button tracer shot.

That 'zombie' super move of his is superbly freaky.

If you read the comics, you'll know what is happening and why :D

As for the tips; thanks, but it's not really helpful. Hol's stand has a really slow startup. The problem is that he doesn't stand a chance when fighting close range, and from long range he can be outshot by the likes of kakyoin and Alessi. Boo!

I like JoJo with unhealthy love. I just love how the comic comes to life. It may not be much of a capcom fighter, but it's still highly entertaining.

Have you guys read the actual first series of Jojo? I checked that site, and they seem to start at the third generation.

Aren't the "Jojo DVDs" sort of ... non-existant? I mean, good luck finding them and all... :S

Araki is one odd/twisted manga writer/illustrator.Yet very interesting ,since it pulls u in on the first issue.
Its a mix of mystery,adventure,
and the hero is just a guy havin a bad day.
